Mixer hydraulic oil change guide

When change mixer truck hydraulic oil many friends just let the oil inside hydraulic oil tank outThen refill the hydraulic tank in fact this way is not correct because inside gear pump and motor still left some dirty oil.

The correct way is take apart the motor oil return pipe let the oil inside motor pump and hydraulic tank out togetherThere are many brand pump and motor such as REXROTH.ARKEATON

Even outlooks and connection and outlooks are different but work on the same principle Today lets take ARK brand as an example.

Prepare the following tools:

Adjustable wrench,Empty drumRoll paper,New hydraulic filter

Operating steps:

1.Start truck 10 minutesmake the drum high speed rotating.By this way hydraulic oil temperature will ariselower the oilviscosity by this way make the dirty in the motor pump bottom mix inside oil drain together.

2. Park in empty or work shop.

Note:Before oil change finished cant start truck.

3.Take apart the hydraulic tank oil return pipe drain the oil inside and block pipe hole with paper:

Note:Use good quality paper (high tenacity) to avoid paper pollute oil pipe.

4. Pull the pump lower return pipe to ground direction loosen the oil return pipe connector on pump turn the pipe to downward.

5. Take out the paper block inside oil pipe drain the oil.

To drain oil fast can loosen the oil return pipe on motor.

6.Drain oil finished bring the oil return pipe connect with hydraulicoil tank:

Note:Don’t forget to fasten the nut which you loosen moment ago.

7.Use adjustable wrench take apart hydraulic oil tank filter note its anti-clock loosen.

8.Change new hydraulic oil filter

9.Fasten filter capconfirm tightly fasten.Note:Hydraulic oil filter has positive and negative difference.Big hole toward oil tank Small hole toward cap direction

10.Take apart the oil drain plug Emptythe oil inside motorThen fasten the plug.Motor drain plug

11.Take apart motor oil return connectorRefill oil of the motor besides we can inject oil inside oil return pipe to exhaustair inside pump when oil comes out from pipe connect the pump and motor oil return pipe connector.

12. Refill the hydraulic tank.

13. Check all connector fasten or not?

14. Start the truck keep the drum stop 1minute then make the mixer drum positive and negative rotation during the rotation the oil level of hydraulic oil tank will go down refill the oil till oil level more than 2/3 of the peep doorOil change over.

Some friends will ask Hudson Icheck the oil through peep door the oil is very clean should I change?Answer Mixer hydraulic motor is high clean equipment and inside hydraulic oil tank has filter even long time use oil will not have big particle but which the particle will caused motor plug broken diameter is 10 micron we cant see the dirty by eye once we can see oil dirty means hydraulic system already severe wear

New mixer will have many metal powder .Suggest first time oil change at 500 hours or 20000km more or less.

After first time oil change suggest change oil 3 to 6 months based on your working condition
